Robert Gray
President
Robert E. Gray, Jr., 54 years old was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and currently serves as a Chief Financial Officer with Memorial Hermann Healthcare System assigned to Huntsville Memorial Hospital in Huntsville, Texas. Bob joined the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in May of 1997. Formerly he was the Vice President and CFO with Dilly Uniform Company in Houston, Texas with over 27 years in Finance, Management and Administration. Bob hold an MBA in International Development from Hope International University in Fullerton, California; an undergraduate Bachelors from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri.
Bob and his wife of 35 years, Pam have 3daughters, 2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons. Bob and Pam currently reside in Huntsville, Texas.
Bob has served as a Director on TAHFA for the past 3 years, currently Chair of the Communications/Website Committee and he has served on the Education Committee for the past 5 years. He also serves on the Board of Community Christian Church as an Elder.

Charlotte Ward, MBA
Past President
Charlotte is currently the Finance/Decision Support Manager for Texas Health Harris Methodist Southwest. Prior healthcare positions included seven years as Director of Decision Support for Parkland Hospital and seven years in various accounting and financial analysis rolls for Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth. She is a CPA with an MBA from Texas Christian University and a BS degree from Vanderbilt University.

Dereesa Reid, MBA/CPA
Secretary
Dereesa Purtell Reid is the Assistant Vice President of Revenue Management for Covenant Health System. During her tenure at Covenant, she established the Covenant Neuroscience Institute and Orthopedic Service Line. Before joining Covenant Health System, she was the Vice President Managed Care and Strategic Planning for University Medical Center Health System. She began her healthcare administration career at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center as Senior Clinical Administrator for the Department of Ophthalmology.
She holds a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dereesa serves on the Board for the Center for Global Understanding Board, Texas Association Healthcare Finance Administration, and the City of Lubbock Permit and License Appeal Board.
She is a fourth generation West Texan and enjoys cycling, fly fishing, and photography.

Rebecca McCain, MHA
Treasurer
Rebecca McCain holds a BBA in Accounting from West Texas A & M and a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Trinity University. She is married, has no children, and has been the CFO at Electra Memorial Hospital and a member of TAHFA for 20 years.
As a member of TAHFA she has served on the Membership committee and continues to serve on the Education and Audit committees as well as the Board of Directors.
Rebecca was a charter board member of the Texas Hospital Home Health Association and served that board from 1993-2000. Locally, she is a member of the Electra ISD District Planning Team and serves on Electra’s Main Street Board, the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Electra Golf Association Board of Directors.

E. Renae Thomas, MBA
President Elect
Renae Thomas, a native Texan, is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin with an MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She served as CFO of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Winnsboro and was later promoted to Administrator. Prior to that she spent 6 years as the Controller for Hopkins County Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas and 3 years at CHRISTUS St. Joseph's Health System in Paris, Texas. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children and serving in her church.

John Dolan, MS
Director
John Dolan has been the Chief Financial Officer of Covenant Hospital Levelland since 2006. He started his healthcare career in 2001as the Manager of Business Administration for Covenant’s Joe Arrington Cancer Center. Prior to this John held positions in accounting & finance for a large regional bank and was part of a start-up wireless telephone provider in West TX. John says, “He likes the challenge that the healthcare industry provides and enjoys working in a smaller hospital where he has the ability to learn and contribute to so much more than just finance.”
John received a Master of Science degree in Economics with a minor in Statistics from Texas Tech University in 1994 and recently became a Certified Healthcare Professional (CHFP) through the HFMA program.

Lisa Dixon, BA
Director
Lisa joined Cardon Healthcare in March of 1998 as their Third Party Liability Manager. A year and a half later Lisa became Client Services Manager for the Houston Region, working as a liaison between Cardon’s operations management team and Cardon’s clients in that region.
In 2007, Lisa was named Director of Client Services for Cardon’s clients nationwide. Lisa works alongside Cardon’s Operational Team of VP’s, Assistant VPs’ and Regional Managers to provide support, assistance, troubleshooting and direction to manage each client’s project effectively and efficiently. Lisa meets with our clients, as needed, to establish an effective line of communication and understand the client’s expectations so that she and the Operational Team can work together to achieve each client’s business objectives.
Prior to Lisa joining Cardon Healthcare, she worked in a paralegal position for Powell & Jackson law firm in Houston for 9 years. This law firm specialized in healthcare law and represented hospitals and physicians related to their third party liability accounts, as well as, patient collections and insurance appeals and denials.
Lisa received her Bachelors Degree from Houston Baptist University. She has been an active member of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) since 2001 and currently serves as a Director on the Board for the HFMA Gulf Coast Chapter in Houston. Lisa is also an member active member of Texas Association for Healthcare Financial Administration (TAHFA) and currently serves as one of their Board Members. Lisa is a member of National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) and of the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) and is active in the AAHAM Texas Bluebonnet Chapter.

Brian Stevens
Director
Brian Stevens was named Vice President, Marketing,of HealthSHARE in 2007, after serving as regional marketing executive for North Texas for more than two years. Previously he was with THA-endorsed company The MHA Group, the nation’s largest and leading provider of clinical health care staffing and physician search, where he was responsible for the development and management of the Texas territory. Stevens also has experience in health care sales and marketing, as well as technology and financial services. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

R. Bradley Martin
Director
Mr. Martin has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry with specific expertise in patient access, charge description masters, supply chain, managed care and capitation services, billing system processes and edits, information systems interfaces and Fiscal Intermediary claims systems processes. He is also considered a subject matter expert in healthcare revenue cycle operations, claims processing and regulatory compliance.
As a principal of RBMS, he is involved in revenue cycle, cost/charge management, regulatory compliance, litigation support and affiliated consulting engagements. Mr. Martin is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s Sciences in Applied Economics. He is a current Board Member of the Texas Association of Health Financial Administrators, a past Board Member of American Association of Healthcare Administrative Managers, and a current member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the Health Care Compliance Association.

Sueann Parrish

Suann began her career in Healthcare in 2001 at Yoakum County Hospital when she was appointed Controller and then was named CFO in 2002. Prior to working in Healthcare Suann worked in banking and finance for 5 years and in Municipal Government for 7 years. Suann holds a BBA in General Business from Texas Tech University.
Suann and Don, married 28 years, have two sons currently attending Texas Tech University.
