The Member of the Year Award is given each year to recognize an individual TAHFA member’s efforts and contributions to the mission and goals of TAHFA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible for the Member of the Year Award a member must:
- Be a member in good standing.
- Not be a voting member of the TAHFA Board of Directors,
- Be nominated by a voting member of the TAHFA Board of Directors.
CRITERIA:
Nominees for Member of the Year may be recognized for (but not limited to) such factors as:
- Membership increases
- Providing speakers for education events
- Volunteer work at meetings and seminars
- Committee participation
- Providing sponsors for symposiums and seminars
PROCEDURE:
- Board members shall nominate persons who meet the qualifications and criteria
- Board members shall vote in secret ballot from the slate of nominees
- If no one nominee receives a majority of votes, there shall be a run-off vote of the two nominees receiving the largest share of votes
AWARD:
The TAHFA Member of the Year recipient shall be recognized at the TAHFA Annual Meeting and shall receive an appropriate plaque recognizing their contributions to the success of our organization.
