Description
Responsible for directing, maintaining, and controlling an accounnting system that properly reflects the financial position of the hospital. Monitor department policies and procedures and recommends improvements, consults with the Senior Management Team, participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives, and serves as a resource in all aspects of accounting. Ensures accuratebinternal and external recording and reporting of financial transactions. Oversees budgeting, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, fixed assests management etc. Ensures that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and hospital procedures. Assigns, directs, and appraises accounting staff.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or related field: CPA preferred.
Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting practices and procedures. Understanding of government regulations and reporting requirements. Understanding of related auditing and IT functions. Broad based knowledge of healthcare/buisness envioronment.
Three or more years of high level accounting eperience. Excellent leadership and human relations abilities. Able to use all related hardware and software.
