SENIOR FINANCIAL SYSTEMS ANALYST
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston, a leading academic health sciences center located on the Texas Gulf Coast, is searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our Dean’s Office in the School of Medicine (SOM). The Senior Financial Systems Analyst analyzes, designs, configures, develops and monitors Hyperion System 9 to meet the business and reporting needs of the School of Medicine. This position works closely with the finance community in the School of Medicine to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance finance system functionality and adds value to the financial software applications and business through knowledge of the Hyperion products and constructive teamwork with the business and IT teams.
Requirements
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, general business administration or management information systems (or equivalent experience) and five years related experience. The preferred candidate will have a Master’s degree in one of these fields and experience in Hyperion Financial Reporting, web analysis and interactive reporting. The ability to design and develop web forms and business rules in Hyperion Planning and solutions using Hyperion Workforce Planning, Capital Expenditures, Performance Scorecard, and Strategic Finance is also desirable. Strong knowledge of financial applications and processes, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills are desirable. The ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals; problem-solve effectively; analyze and evaluate data; and make appropriate decisions/recommendations is also needed.
