TEXAS ETHICS FOR CPAs – Richard Pitre, Ph.D., CPA
Sunday, September 20
This course is a Texas State Board of Public Accountancy approved four-hour class for CPAs. The course provides an objective view of ethics through the linking of core ethical values to one’s knowledge and insight from various disciplines to ethical decision-making. It will offer a fundamental understanding of the conceptual principles that help to achieve compliance with the spirit and intent of the Rules of Professional Conduct.
RICHARD PITRE, Ph.D., CPA
Richard Pitre is a Professor of Accounting with over 38 years of teaching experience and 33 years of experience as a small business CPA practitioner. Professor Pitre is the author of a Financial Accounting Textbook. His research is multi-discipline, covering such topics as Ethics, Environmental Cost Liability, Managed Care, Deferred Taxes, Hospital Effectiveness and MIS, The Small CPA Practitioner and Information Systems Liability, and Organizational Behavior and Citizenship. He is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and The American Accounting Association. He is a current and past member of several boards and committees of these organizations.

Substitute attendees may be named prior to September 11, 2009 or a letter from the original registrant authorizing the substitution. Notification of substitute must be submitted in writing from the original registrant. No substitutions will be taken by phone.
